TRUMP AND PRAYER IN THE WHITE HOUSE

On Dec 20, 2016, I posted the transcripts and audio of two prophecies that the late Kim Clement shared back in 2007. They both touched on the subject of prayer in the White House, suggesting that God would put a praying, Spirit-filled man into the White House.

Well, on Feb 1, 2017, President Trump Tweeted a photo of himself and the VP and others having “a moment of prayer” the night prior in the White House. He said that the photo was taken after his nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch for the vacant #SCOTUS position.

Over the next few days, many Tweeted praise for that “moment of prayer”, with some calling for prayer for more of such “moments”. Here are just a handful of those Tweets.

Mind you, not all the Tweets on the subject were positive or favorable for the POTUS or his ardent followers.

And some of the Tweets on the “moment of prayer” reveal antagonism towards POTUS44 (i.e. Barack Obama) and a perception (whether real or not) that he favored Islam over other faiths during his time in the White House. These Tweets suggest that the “moment of prayer” is the beginning of return of Christianity to the White House after it was suppressed by the previous administration.

So what did Barack Obama do via-a-vis prayer in the White House?

There were a bunch of Tweets in December 2016 and January 2017 suggesting that #POTUS44 (i.e. Obama) had set up some “Muslim prayer rooms” during his eight years in the White House whereas President Trump had thrown these “Muslim rugs” and “Muslim prayer rooms” out of the White House.

The notion of Muslim prayer rooms being set up in the White House was first mentioned in 2009, as far as Tweets go.  But conversation on the matter – mostly expression of disdain at the notion – really picked up from 2013 onward. Many of the Tweets express the belief that having such prayer rooms in the White House is proof enough that Obama himself was in fact a Muslim.

Some of the Tweets carry a link to an article by endthefed.com that says Obama ordered silence during the five times of the day that Muslims pray and that prayer rugs and crescent symbols were made available in the White House to make Muslim staff feel comfortable. According to the article, the explanation for the practice by Obama’s White House did little to cover up obvious favoritism towards Islam.

The administration has defended the practice by asserting that it also observes several other religious moments of silence and prayer out of respect, including a full 15 seconds for Christianity on Sunday morning while a chaplain blesses a staff breakfast. None of the prayer is mandatory or led by a government official, which has allowed the administration to subvert 1st Amendment issues, but the obvious favoritism towards Islam, which is observed for 25 minutes per day seven days a week, tells a story this president has denied for eight years.

That was in April 2011, four years or so before Trump even declared his intention to run for the office in the 2016 US Presidential Election! The Sid Roth interview of co-authors Mark Taylor and Mary Colbert touches on Donald Trump’s desire to leave a legacy of being a praying president, as well as on God’s intent to replace five judges of the SCOTUS through Trump.
