WHERE WILL IMPUNITY LEAVE AMERICA?

I saw this Tweet by former Navy Seal, pro-wrestler, and 38th Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura that I just had to Re-Tweet and Reply. This was the Gov Ventura comment that accompanied the Edward Snowden picture quote featured above: “If the US elects a Prez who admits they will perform war crimes, I’ll hang my head in shame.”

This is the tragedy of it all! The gross #IMPUNITY that emboldens such criminals in office and positions of public trust to do even more wickedly. May God have mercy on us! When the whistle-blower that correctly exposes evil practices in corporate or governmental institutions is fired, penalized, arrested and/or persecuted by the State – and when the perpetrators of those evil practices are shielded, abetted, celebrated and even promoted to higher positions by the State – and when the vast majority of citizens seem to do nothing (whether because they are preoccupied with the pressures of everyday life, or because they are just too distracted by leisure and entertainment, or because of apathy about problems that seem so far away) – when all these factors are in place, why should the likes of George Bush, Dick Cheney and Blackwater (or Academi or whatever it is they are called these days) not be emboldened to commit more war crimes and treason – knowing full well they WONT be punished for their acts?

THE PATH TO PEACE

Jesse Ventura Pic - Smash the War Racket

Jesse Ventura, who hosts the TV show, Off the Grid, on Ora TV and RT, also posted on Twitter this picture quote in early March 2016.  I very much agree with Jesse Ventura and Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler on the need to take the profit out of war and to ensure that only those with literal skin in the game (not money, but their own flesh and blood – or their relatives’) should decide whether or not there should be war. But I would go further to add a fourth step – which is to ensure the punishment of those who commit war crimes and of journalists and politicians who deceive and drag nations into unnecessary wars by reporting rumors of war, hoaxes and false flag operations as though they were truth or real events. For example, known (in many cases, criminal) elites in the US or Europe like Senator John McCain (though there are more powerful elites than he involved in this) who have supported and sponsored ISIS at any point in time should be sanctioned and jailed.

Meanwhile, greater measures should be taken to encourage and reward those whistle-blowers that take enormous risks to expose corruptions within their own institutions. That way more persons will summon up the courage to resist and/or speak out against corruption whenever it arises. My heart and prayers go out to those like Jesse Ventura and Edward Snowden that risk their reputation, their jobs and their lives – and otherwise put their neck on the line – to speak and fight for the truth and to expose, highlight and confront such corruption, criminality and wickedness – in hopes that PEACE and THE RULE OF LAW will indeed prevail within and among the nations of the earth.

  1. Well written. Well spoken. I would say that there should be a CAP ON MILLITARY PROFITS! But not necessarily total removal of profits. Otherwise you remove the effectiveness of capitalism from your war effort.

    1. Thanks for your comment. I suppose that the profit-motive serves as an incentive for weapons manufacturers to develop more effective weapons – and ideally that would mean weapons systems that are more accurate and that cause less collateral damage. But the #profiteering has gotten way, way out of control. These globalists make profits often by selling to both or all sides of conflicts; they make CORRUPT profit from no-bid contracts, such as the likes of Halliburton and Blackwater from the US government throughout the recent Iraq War; they make profit from the trillions of debt-based dollars they loan to governments to finance these wars; they make money from looting the resources of countries where they implement regime change… When they are making crazy money going into war and coming out of it, why won’t they want to cook up unnecessary wars and perpetuate those wars?
