Wow. Just wow. Even on the House floor, a US lawmaker mic drops with “Let’s go Brandon”! Not even the hallowed halls of Capitol Hill can escape the tsunami of “Let’s go Brandon” LGB(FJB) chants sweeping over the USA at all kinds of public events and in social media.
Whether you are a fan of the LGB/FJB chants or not, this is what makes the double speak (coded meme) so powerful. You could never say FJB explicitly on the House floor. (It certainly wouldn’t be proper.) But Rep Bill Posey (R-FL) essentially just did so last week – but without being explicitly vulgar.

Mr. Speaker, the president’s theme ‘Build Back Better’ just can’t pass a straight face test. In reality it is more like a ‘Demolish America Faster‘. If you really think it builds America back better. Your view of America is a lot different than most of the people I know.
A TALE OF TWO AMERICAS – WHICH ONE WILL PREVAIL?
We grew up in America where college professors taught students HOW to think, not WHAT to think.
An America where you can express your thoughts on any subject without having the media collude with Big Tech to censor you through bullying, intimidation or bogus, so-called fact checks.
We grew up in America where parents were encouraged to support the education of their children — not targeted by the Department of Justice as domestic terrorists for telling the school board members I think you’re going in the wrong direction.
We grew up in an era in America where immigrants – like most of our predecessors, our ancestors – were welcomed – if they came here legally.
I can move to Mexico but it would be impossible for me to become a Mexican. I can move to Honduras, but I can never become Honduran. I can move to Somalia, but it would be impossible for me to become a Somalian. And on and on it goes.
But it’s possible for people from other countries to come here and become Americans. And if they work hard and play by the rules, they can build a better future for themselves and their families. They can achieve the American dream. That’s why people risked their lives – and some have died trying to come to this country.
No other country — with the kind of policies you’re trying to force down the throat of Americans — is like that.
AFFLUENZA, WOKENESS, ENTITLEMENT-ITUS, & TRUMP PHOBIA
Yes, we live in America where most folks — unless they’re plagued with affluenza, wokeness, entitlement-itus, or Trump phobia — believe they lived in the greatest and the freest country in the history of the world.
Pre COVID-19, we lived in America with the lowest unemployment rate in decades, the lowest African-American and Hispanic unemployment rate since they began keeping records.
An America that was energy independent. An America with mostly free and fair elections.
And an America with secure borders.
SECURE BORDERS VS BORDER CRISIS & ILLEGAL INVASION
And speaking about secure borders. Let’s be clear, there is a crisis at the border even though the President, the Vice President and most of my colleagues across the aisle deny it. Coming into our country illegally does not make someone a legal immigrant anymore than someone breaking into your house makes them one of your family.
You see, most people know there’s a difference between legal immigration and the ILLEGAL INVASION that we’re witnessing right now. Proposed Amnesty will only encourage others to come and try illegally.
It’s not hard to see where you’re coming from. You know, based upon the false promise that he would unify America President Biden got in the Oval Office and my friends on the other side of the aisle gained the razor thin majority in the House and in the Senate.
But you know, we know we all know — everybody knows — the unification promise was a lie. And your majority is going to be short lived. So you must feel compelled to rush through a radical agenda before the midterms.
“PUT AMERICA BACK WHERE YOU FOUND IT”
This is what I call the “Let’s go Brandon” (LGB) mic drop bit at the end.
Now, people are understandably frustrated. Actually, they’re very angry, and they’re not going to sit back and take it much longer. Instead of a bogus “Build Back Better Plan” and “Reconciliation Plan”, you know what they want? They want you to help put America back where you found it and leave it the hell alone.
Let’s go Brandon!

THE RUDE AWAKENING CONTINUES
It was no surprise to see mostly favorable comments on the Forbes News video. That is to say that most of the comments seemed to agree with what Rep Bill Posey said on the House floor — especially the LGB part.
For those who voted for Trump, Biden’s time as POTUS has only served to confirm their worst beliefs and fears about Biden, the Democrats, and the ills of the “woke” agenda currently unfolding before our eyes.
Many Dems who voted for the Biden-Harris ticket will — out of political tribalism — likely choose to be willfully ignorant about the blunders of the Biden admin. Things that they would have slammed and even impeached Donald Trump for, they have and will continue to let Mr Biden get away with.
But for many moderates and independents who voted for Biden, these past 9 months or so have been something of a rude awakening. A rude awakening that is part of the broader great awakening. I say that based on the fact that Mr Biden’s approval rating has tanked among Independents – down to as little as 26% in some polls.
The crude alarm bells sounding the wake up call are the obvious gas price hikes and inflation, the southern border crisis that sees the US been flooded by record numbers of illegal immigrants, the botched exit from Afghanistan and corresponding loss of respect for America on the world stage, the supply chain problems, unpopular Covid-related mandates, etc. Basically, the various issues Bill Posey brought up in his LGB mic drop.
Unfortunately, if 2021 is an indicator of coming attractions, America has a few years of upheaval ahead. Question is: Can she survive the upheval? Will the 250-year-old American dream endure or disintegrate into a nightmare? And who and/or what can save America from said unfolding American nightmare?
