I had a video clip of Democrat Congressmen trying to block certification of Florida’s Electoral College votes in Congress in 2001. And I intended to find (at some point) similar clips from 2005 and 2017 where Democrats also tried to deny the Republican president-elects their victory. But so glad to see this “overturn an election” video compilation via a recent tweet by Lauren Boebert.
Here’s what the tweet said:
Democrats try to rewrite history when it doesn’t fit their narrative.
In 2001, 2005 & 2017, objections to the counting of electoral votes were ok & weren’t perceived as trying to “overturn an election.”
And here’s the actual tweet with the video compilation:

Out of all the clips, my favorite is that of California’s Maxine Waters waving her written objection, asking if any Senator would join her. That was in January 2017. No Senator came up, and Donald Trump’s victory was eventually certified.
Lauren Boebert is a Republican Congresswoman from Colorado (CO-03). She owns a restaurant called ‘Shooters Grill’, which she ran prior to her fray into politics. One of her claims to fame is that she is “the mom who told Veto HELL NO you’re not taking our guns!” She so believes in the Second Amendment (which safeguards the right to bear arms) that she openly carries a gun to work on Capitol Hill.
