Update for Nigeria’s 2019 General Elections: In a recent must-watch video, Prophet Isa El-Buba blasted the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) for the way it conducted the recent 2019 Presidential and National Assembly Elections. He said effectively that INEC is a big scam; Nigeria needs God’s intervention; and the dust is yet to settle on publicized results.
WATCH THE VIDEO FOR YOURSELF
This video was published on YouTube March 5, 2019, by the cleric’s official channel. It seems to be a clip from a program at his church, El-Buba Outreach Ministries (EBOMI), which is based in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
Here are some highlights of what Prophet Isa El-Buba said in his usual charismatic, fiery way…
CONDEMNATION OF VOTING AND TABULATION IRREGULARITIES
- Nobody should die for any politician. No politician deserves your blood… You must live to see the #NewNigeria emerge.
- It is a shame – a BIG SHAME – on the failure of INEC to conduct a credible election – taking Nigeria 40 years backward, instead of forward… It’s a shame for any leader to rejoice [over the declared results of the February 23 Presidential Election].
- It is a matter of time. Nobody, except someone evil, rejoices when a son steals at gunpoint and brings stolen money home. The same way you CANNOT rejoice over a robbed election.
- Bola Tinubu carried bullion vans full of billions of naira. And no one arrested him. An aircraft collapsed in Kwara because of the money it was carrying. And you’re telling me you are fighting corruption!
- We are asking for a credible system. We are asking for a system of the 21st century… Righteousness exalts. Sin is a reproach. I will stand as a defender of righteousness…
ADVICE FOR THE UPCOMING GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION
In spite of the instances of gross irregularities he shared regarding the February 23, 2019, Presidential and National Assembly elections, the cleric urged his listeners to still mobilize to fulfill their civic duties regarding the upcoming Governorship and State Assembly Elections.
- On March 9 Elections: Do not retire. Do not get weary in well doing, for in due season you will get your harvest…
- Mobilize for the upcoming governorship elections. Go and vote the governors that you know will work for you. Do your part as a remnant. Give the remaining ones to God. We cannot because of robbers not do business.
“THE GOD THAT I SERVE IS A GOD OF SURPRISES”
Prophet Isa El-Buba made several statements about his take on God’s relationship with Nigeria and involvement in the nation’s democratic process.
- God is in charge. God is in control… [The dust is yet to settle on the matter of President Muhammadu Buhari’s (PMB’s) election victory.]
- God is interested in this country. God is interested in Nigeria.
- Our God is a God of time. No lie is forever… No leader has a right to force himself upon the people… If you are a/the leader, let the people choose you. Let them choose you without threats and intimidation.
This was one of his key statements from the clip, expressing his faith and hope that — in spite of brazen attempts by some to corrupt the democratic process — God would have the last say in the General Elections:
“The God that I serve is a God of surprises. You see this God. He can allow a Saul to do his Maradona. But at the last moment, He will prove Who He is. If the prince of this world had known, they would not have crucified the King of Glory. Satan thought he won, but he didn’t see the end of the battle. He will always allow the enemy to do his worst. Then he will show up with his own glory.”
JUDGMENTS READ FROM JEREMIAH 51
The verses that El-Buba read from, saying God is in charge and God is in control.
39) In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the LORD.
57) And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
