Donald J Trump, aka “The Great Disruptor”, aka “The Bull in the China Shop”, has repeatedly called on European NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) allies to pay their own share of NATO’s bills. He has even suggested at times that maybe the US ought to pull out of the obsolete alliance.
The pro-NATO, pro-New Word Order (NWO) political establishment in America has of course often rebuked Trump for such sentiments and remarks. Recently both the House and the Senate passed bi-partisan resolutions calling for continued US financing and support of NATO. These politicians have
SONS OF LIBERTY, LIKE RON PAUL, OPPOSE THE WARFARE STATE
While most of the pro-NWO politicians at Capitol Hill seem OK with endless wars, those I would consider being “Sons of Liberty” oppose such imperialistic tendancies. Here is former Congressman (and three-time US Presidential Candidate) Ron Paul‘s take on the whole thing:
Ron Paul gets to the heart of the matter in this clip on Twitter when he questions the impact of NATO on the world stage and highlights the role of globalist lobbyists in all this:
“This is super support for internationalism. Total belief in the role of NATO as a preserver of the peace. Over the years, I haven’t quite seen it that way. Are we really as bad off as those votes suggest? Or are those votes reflecting what the lobbyists [the so-called military-industrial-complex lobbyists] can do when the people are sleeping?“
~ Ron Paul (aka “The Champion of the Constitution”)
This runaway military-industrial-complex #WarfareState, and its twin sister, the #WelfareState, will bankrupt America if the status quo persists. Over the millennia, these two twins have brought down other empires like the Roman Empire and it is doubtful that the American Empire is so exceptional that it can escape their corrosive, cancerous, destructive fate

Permanent War: Congress Forbids NATO Withdrawal
Ron Paul’s Liberty Report published this video on
Ron Paul suggests that the US has been footing a disproportionate amount of NATO’s expenses in order to be the boss – i.e as an “investment” intended to get NATO members to rubber stamp the wars the US elects to engage in. We have seen this with Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya, argues Ron Paul.
When it comes to the US being “in charge” of NATO, “Who’s the ‘we’ that is in charge of NATO?” asks the host. It’s not the average American worker who in many cases struggles every day just to make a living. It’s the elites that control the military-industrial-complex that are in charge.
I doubt Trump would actually pull the US out of NATO. But you have to understand that we’re dealing with “Mr. Art of the Deal” here, so getting such threats from Trump (whatever the issue is) WILL be the norm. That’s how he seems to get his deals done.
WHAT’S YOUR TAKE ON NATO?
Ron Paul thinks it would be interesting to get American’s take on the issue. So, I ask, What’s your take on NATO? Is it still useful since it’s supposed raison d’etre (i.e the USSR) ceased to exist 3o years ago? Or is it still vital in promoting peace in the world? Or does its expansion to Russia’s borders create unnecessary tension with Russia? Should NATO be doing more in certain areas and less in certain areas? Should European members be their fair share for this “defense” alliance?
